you guys need to SERIOUSLY do something about the god awful CORP/ALLIANCE MANAGEMENT! at least allow the exporting of information so we can build better tools, but if not then make the management of large groups of people easier, FASTER and more secure!!

Solstice Project wrote:Please remove the unnecessary whitespots from planets, as shown here -> http://imgur.com/BuQu6It's a shading thingy, not actually an issue, but it still hurts my eyes bigtime. This is nothing that you'll find on any planet ever, except when it's perfectly curved and smooth ... good luck finding one. :)

sounds small but wtf is with the warping at the speed of light with a rocket engine always been about?
i can understand the sub-light speeds, burning around on grid with ur rocket styled engines or something of that nature but plz god, dont make me try and buy the increased fire out the back is an increase in speed by over 1 million times!
im not talking bout a massive flash from some god awefull nacelles or stuff ripped from other sci-fi stuff, but at least de-couple the warp drive from the AB and MWD u use in pvp. Im sure theres art guys who'd love to add a bit more dynamic lights and lighting patterns to the ships ;)

NOT asking for first-person-style-movement, because i know this is not possible, BUT a cockpit camera (without cockpit, too much work anyway) surely is.
We're sitting in closed eggs full of fluid inside the ship. What cockpits?
exacly!!! so many people think they fly ships like u would in some jedi starfighter game, and the pod ur in when ur ship dies is like an escape pod!! Noooooo!!
ur connected to your ship like Neo's connected to the matrix. ur meant to almost be one with your ship. feel it live it breathe it. |

Solstice Project wrote:Lachesis VII wrote:Directional scanner needs a slight UI overhaul.
Two things:
The distance box needs to be a slider, in 1AU increments. 1AU-15AU.
The angle slider should create a visible in-space ring so you can see where you're aiming. It's not that I don't already know (click on your own ship, zoom out, and use that to center yourself), but really, it's an unnecessary obstacle to learning how to use your directional scanner. dScan is really easy to learn, these increments are way too big and you can't zoom out that far anyway. This doesn't suggest making dscanning easier, but dumber.
so true! most of my scanning time when dcanning in combat is done at sub 1au ranges. Yes ranges over 1au are used to initiallty pinpoint if someone is at a group of celestials or in a midwarp safe but even so, DO NOT change it to linear increments it'll just destroy people who rely on dscaning in combat.
plus wtf is up with people scared and confused bout AU's to km's? yahh 1 AU is exactly 149 598 000km but jesus, if ur adding up multiple UA's then just use an approximation!
150 million km for example.. then all u have to do is add up 150's or even 15's. not exactly rocket science! |

here's a thought.... wrecks arent individual wrecks anymore. Dropped items are added to a wreck pool.
so when that ship does go boom, and the hull is torn apart and scattered everywhere all its expensive stuff isnt neatly bunched together in a really obvious loot whoring target.
itd work something like this: you'd approach a wreck on the field after an epic fight where tons of **** blew up all around the grid. when u open it, it displays a random grouping of modules pulled from the loot pool.
the wreck wouldnt have a name like amarr elite BS wreck, it would all be generic small/med/large/capital wrecks.
so you'd say have 15 wrecks on a grid, when u open it, it displays a random group of loot from the wreck pool. obviously some cap mods cant fit into some ships so certain mods like cap mods and other things like that would only appear in cap wrecks.
BUT the essence of this is although certain mods will still only be in some specific wrecks, other smaller mods will act like they scatter in explosions like debris would in a debris field. |

If you take the time to read the official explanation of how FTL travel is possible in EVE, you'd know that the effects are right on. The premise is that there's an active system on the ship that initiates when warp is entered, and it removes all particles from in front of and around the ship (including photons, and one would assume neutrinos as well, etc). So there is no more resistance to keep the ship from going faster, which means it can keep accelerating.
the lore about warp is that it throws the ship 90 degrees out of phase with the rest of the universe, and therefore when warping to things peoples lock breaks on your ship cause it suddenly appears to not exist, plus it explains how a ship can fly straight through a planet and not either insta-die or carve a tunnel straight through the planet causing it to insta-die.
whether it removes particles in front of the ship or not, space is space cause its got a **** ton of it between particles, what ur saying is that typical engines struggle to get ships through space normally cause of mass between the ship and its destination. Eve isnt an aquatic adventure game m8, its a space sim! go look up what a hard vacuum is, where it tends to occur and then come back. |

corp and alliance tabs on the comments part of peoples profile page in game to share comments on the person in question, with an automatic "posted by" so you can trace who originally said what.
basically to help clarify if someone is a suspected awoxer/spy/drama queen/general idiot/RMT'er/Botter etc... |
